چکیده
Magnetorheological (MR) gel, an analog of MR fluid, is a novel kind magnetic-responsive material. In this article, the influence quasi-statically monotonic loading and periodically cyclic on normal stress behavior gel (MRG) systemically investigated. Firstly, carbonyl iron powder (CIP) soft polymer were adopted for fabrication MRG. Then, variations with shear strain tested under different excited magnetic fields, rates, CIP contents, amplitudes. It was found that MRG exhibits three prominent stages: sudden rise at beginning, followed by rapid decrease, then final steady-state value. The experiments also indicated field, compared other influencing factors, has most critical effect corresponding mechanisms various phenomena methodically discussed. Furthermore, ratio to proposed better comprehend mechanism evolution internal microstructures effects from perspective. results implied close relation field content increase helpful high-efficiency effect.

Mathematical Modeling of Column-Base Connections under Monotonic Loading
Some considerable damage to steel structures during the Hyogo-ken Nanbu Earthquake occurred. Among them, many exposed-type column bases failed in several consistent patterns, such as brittle base plate fracture, excessive bolt elongation, unexpected early bolt failure, and inferior construction work, etc. The lessons from these phenomena led to the need for improved understanding of column base...
متن کاملAnalytical and Experimental Investigation of I Beam-to-CFT Column Connections under Monotonic Loading (RESEARCH NOTE)
In this study, the behavior characteristics of I beam-to-concrete filled tube (CFT) column connection is studied through experiment and finite element models under the monotonic loading. To validate the finite element modeling, at first, an experimental model is made and experimented. After validation of the finite element modeling, different models were created in the software. The studied par...
متن کاملMartensitic Transformation in Ultrafine-Grained Stainless Steel AISI 304L Under Monotonic and Cyclic Loading
The monotonic and cyclic deformation behavior of ultrafine-grained metastable austenitic steel AISI 304L, produced by severe plastic deformation, was investigated. Under monotonic loading, the martensitic phase transformation in the ultrafine-grained state is strongly favored. Under cyclic loading, the martensitic transformation behavior is similar to the coarse-grained condition, but the cycli...
متن کاملBladder tissue passive response to monotonic and cyclic loading.
The fundamental passive mechanical properties of the bladder need to be known in order to design the most appropriate long-term surgical repair procedures and develop materials for bladder reconstruction. This study has focused on the bladder tissue viscoelastic behavior, providing a comprehensive analysis of the effects of fibers orientation, strain rate and loading history. Whole bladders har...
متن کاملSoil-Structure Interaction of Buried Pipes Under Cyclic Loading Conditions
The safety of lifelines, as the most important urban facilities, under different conditions highly depends on the safe design and performance of these buried structures. This cannot be achieved unless their actual behaviors are well understood and considered at the designing stage. A new physical model was developed in Amirkabir University of Technology to study the behavior of buried pipes und...
